Lithuania’s 2018 budget to be surplus with higher spending

In his words, the next year’s budget will be officially presented on Wednesday.

“We presented the budget draft to all ministers and the prime minister, we discussed all areas in detail, and we think that the draft is rather optimum. We will discuss the final version after a discussion on Wednesday and will then present all the main figures and how they fit the government’s priorities,” Šapoka told journalists.

Šapoka said the budget redistribution in proportion to the gross domestic product (GDP) would also grow in 2018.
