It would become the first private company factually engaged in transportation services to take part of the state railway company’s market share, vz.lt reports.
“First of all, we want to begin with cargo of AG companies, we are planning to carry AB Achema cargo to terminals of the cargo handling company KLASCO at Klaipėda port,” said Gražina Urbutienė, managing director of Transachema.

Transachema was established in 1998. The company also provides expediting, cargo weighing, carriage rental, washing, preparation for loading, document confirmation, carriage tracing and accounting services.
Transachema owns a private carriage park of almost 1,000 railcars consisting of tank-wagons, bulk-wagons, half-wagons. The company also owns more than 36 kilometres of railway approach roads.
Transachema is a member of European Rail Freight Association (ERFA) and National Association of Transportation Companies Ligeva.
