Lithuania’s GDP up 0.7 percent

Seasonally-adjusted GDP remained stable in the euro area and rose by 0.2 percent in the EU during the second quarter of 2014, compared with the previous quarter. In the first quarter of 2014, GDP grew by 0.2 percent in the euro area and by 0.3 percent in the EU.

Compared with the same quarter of the previous year, seasonally-adjusted GDP rose by 0.7 percent in the euro area and by 1.2 percent in the EU in the second quarter of 2014, after +0.9 percent and +1.4 percent respectively in the previous quarter.

During the second quarter of 2014, GDP in the United States increased by 1.0 percent compared with the previous quarter (after -0.5 percent in the first quarter of 2014). Compared with the same quarter of the previous year, GDP grew by 2.4 percent (after +1.9 percent in the previous quarter).
