With the purpose of assessing the reliability of the winner, Economy Minister Evaldas Gustas is going to apply to the Special Investigations Service (STT). As soon as information about the winner’s impeccable reputation is received, the economy minister will appoint Kazlauskienė to her new post at the VTD.
In early October, Minister Gustas decided to remove the then VTD chief Raimonda Balnienė from her long-term post following the bankruptcy of the tour operator Go Planet Travel. Balnienė was moved to another post and became a chief advisor at the VTD.
