Ministers of Justice and Foreign Affairs to stay on, while Economy Minister resigns

The decisions were announced by the ministers after meeting with Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis on Monday.

“The prime minister gave me a vote of confidence, therefore, I would like to continue working,” Vainiute told journalists.

She noted she was not a member of the Social Democratic Party, therefore, there are no ethical issues with her staying in the ministerial position after the party decided to leave the ruling coalition with the Farmers and Greens Union (LFGU).
