More classes should be given in Lithuanian at ethnic schools, TS-LKD members say

MPs Audronius Ažubalis, Agnė Bilotaitė ir Laurynas Kasčiūnas have drawn up amendments to the Law on Education, stating that at least 60 percent of the education program at lower secondary and secondary schools should be delivered in the Lithuanian language, with the remaining part taught in ethnic minority languages.

“Being aware that preparations are necessary for these changes, such a norm would be introduced from 2023,” Bilotaitė told a press conference on Tuesday.
