MP Gražulis steps down as Order and Justice parliamentary group leader

“I have made my statement on resignation from the post of the group’s leader, I will remain an ordinary member of the political group,” Gražulis told journalists during a meeting of the party’s council on Monday evening.

He said the decision had to do with the “rather low” ratings of the Order and Justice party.

Gražulis’ announcement comes shortly after MP Remigijus Žemaitaitis was appointed to head the party’s election bureau, and the party’s members Valdas Vasiliauskas ir Povilas Gylys said they would not run for parliament with the party and would leave the political group.

The latest polls published by Vilmorus last week shows that the Order and Justice was on the verge of not winning parliamentary mandates in multi-mandate voting, with just 5.3% of respondents planning to cast their ballots for the party. There is a 5% threshold for parties to qualify for parliament seats.
