NATO considers stationing battalions in Baltic states and Poland

According to Britain’s The Telegraph, one scenario sees 800-1,000 soldier battalions stationed in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, but a less ambitious plan would invlolve deploying only one battalion in the region.

Germany is worried that such measures would provoke Russia’s response at the time of ceasefire in Ukraine, but Berlin would agree to one battalion in the region.
