New Museum at President’s Palace explains how state works

The Centre for Civic Education (Valstybės pažinimo centras in Lithuanian), housed at a previously unused part of the President’s Palace in central Vilnius, is opening on Thursday and boasts the most innovative interactive exposition in the country, according to the President’s Office.

Visitors will be able to touch all exhibits, use tablets to access additional information and leave comments that will become part of the exposition.

Our task was to tell a story of the state in a language everyone could understand, to explain complex things – like the functioning of a state, a citizen’s participation in the state, interaction with institutions – in a simple manner,” said president’s adviser Rūta Kačkutė.
