STT has information that the person acted together with other people, equivalent to civil servants, and devised a plan of unjust enrichment by selling the NPP’s property worth millions of euros.
The suspects allegedly reduced the value of the facility’s property to be sold and prepared such conditions for an auction that only one candidate could win it.
Furthermore, according to STT officers, active measures were taken in order to prevent other potential participants from taking part in the auction.
Investigating the crime, suspicions were brought against two persons. Searches were carried out at their offices at the NPP and at their homes.
The pre-trial investigation is headed by the Organised Crime and Corruption Investigation Department of Panevėžys Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
