Order and Justice Party’s case goes to court

The office said it would provide more details in a news conference later in the date.

The investigation in the case was launched back in 2014.

Law-enforcement officials have said that the Order and Justice is suspected of influence peddling, squandering of property, document forgery and negligent management of accounts.

Prosecutors suspect that the party spent over 350,000 euros in funds allegedly obtained as bribes or through other illegal means on publicity.

The six individuals charged in the case are former MP Rimas Antanas Ručys and businessmen Rolandas Skaisgirys, Peisachas Kačerginskis, Giedrius Rakauskas, Vytautas Banys and Justinas Garliauskas.
