Parliament cuts short meeting due to power outage on Thursday, traffic lights off in Vilnius

The power outage was reported at the parliament at about 4 p.m. (local time), first in part of the Seimas complex and in the plenary room 15 minutes later.

Parliamentarians walked out of the hall.

Martynas Burba, spokesman for Energijos Skirstymo Operatorius (ESO) power distribution operator, told BNS that the malfunction was reported at about 3:50 p.m. due to voltage spikes in the Litgrid network.
