There are no air routes from Lithuania to the part of the Ukrainian air-space closed off from flights after a Malaysia Airlines jetliner was shot down on Thursday.
“There are no flights from Lithuanian airports – operated by Lithuanian companies or otherwise – via that territory,” the head of the Civil Aviation Administration told BNS.
Budget carrier Wizzair has a route from Lithuania to Georgia that flies near the closed air-space, but the carrier has yet to issue a statement on whether it will alter the route.
