Skvernelis made the offer to Klaus Martin Schwab, the forum’s founder and board chairman, at a meeting in Vilnius on Friday, the government’s press service said.
“Lithuania is on path of innovations, achieving ambitious goals of renewable energy. We are ready to implement the World Economic Forum’s recommendations as early as next year to create a proper environment for development of electric cars,” said the prime minister.
He also emphasized the importance of cyber and information security, Lithuania’s aspirations of joining the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and planned active cooperation with the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN).
