“I think there is no reason today to say that some divorce or some changes to the balance of political forces are going to occur,” he said on the Žinių Radijas radio station on Thursday morning.
Skvernelis said that his meetings with Gabrielius Landsbergis, the leader of the opposition Homeland Union–Lithuanian Christian Democrats, were not aimed at sending any political signals.
“I will communicate with representatives and leaders of all political forces. We have no other way. We will have different opinions, different positions, different political attitudes, but not to talk, discuss, joke or have some coffee together…,” the LFGU-delegated prime minister said.
“Well, I’m a different kind of person and I will definitely will communicate with everyone,” he said.
Gintautas Paluckas, the newly-elected leader of the LSDP, has said that he will seek to put more Social Democratic priorities into the coalition’s agenda.
The LFGU has 56 seats in the 141-member Seimas and the LSDP has 19 mandates.
