PM’s ratings continue climbing – poll

“There has been some major faltering in the public opinion – one political party, one force, and Skvernelis is going up, and Karbauskis – down. Karbauskis suffered the most,” Vladas Gaidys, CEO of Vilmorus pollster that conducted the survey, told BNS.

Skvernelis remains the most favored politician in Lithuania, backed by 70.7 percent of those polled in February, up from 68.3 percent a month ago. His is disliked by 7.4 percent of those polled, down from 10.1 percent in January.

Meanwhile, Karbauskis, the LFGU leader, saw a decline in his ratings.

“In December, he was favored by 52 percent (of respondents) and disliked by 16 percent. This was the top result. In January, the liking dropped to 46 percent, while the negative opinions rose to 23 percent, while in February the positive opinions went down to 37 percent and the negatives soared to 34 percent. This shows he is barely keeping the positive balance. If the tendency continues, he will soon be among the most unpopular people,” said the Vilmorus’ CEO.

The Vilmorus survey was conducted on February 10-15 of 2017.
