Polish air defence system Grom to be delivered to Lithuania within fortnight

An agreement on the purchase of man-portable air-defence system Grom and its missiles was signed between Lithuania and Poland in September 2014. The cost of the purchase is estimated to exceed EUR 34 million, which will be paid in instalments by 2021.

“Defence against hostile air action is a crucial part of Lithuania’s defence,” said Olekas when asked about the importance of the Grom system to air defence.
