The approval rating of Skvernelis rose to 40.7 percent in February, from 36.7 percent in January, the largest monthly increase among all politicians, the poll conducted by Vilmorus showed.
The two other most popular members of the Cabinet are Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius with 34.9 percent and Minister of National Defence Juozas Olekas with 34.2 percent, up from 33.2 percent and 28.8 percent a month ago, respectively.
Grybauskaitė remains the most-favoured politician in the country, with an approval rating of 62.3 percent in February, up from 58 percent in January, and Butkevičius remains at number two with 57.2 percent, up from 55 percent.
The president and prime minister are also the politicians seen as best representing people’s interests, with 24.2 percent and 13.6 percent of respondents saying so, respectively.
Meanwhile, the approval rating of Seimas Speaker Loreta Graužinienė edged down to 30.8 percent in February, from 31.5 percent a month ago.
The ruling Social Democratic Party remains the most popular political party in the country. Twenty-two percent of respondents polled by Vilmorus this month said they would vote for the party if general elections were held next Sunday, up from 18.5 percent who said so in January.
The opposition Liberal Movement is in second place with 9.2 percent and the opposition Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrats is third with 8.4 percent.
Vilmorus conducted the representative poll between 13 and 16 February.
