President Grybauskaitė: Some countries would like Europe to be “a tea club”

“We want a stronger Europe, a more united Europe, to be able to compete and to respond to challenges. Sometimes we hear from other countries which would like to see Europe more as a tea club where you only sit, discuss and decide nothing,” she told CNN on Friday. “So that’s not the Europe we joined and not the Europe we would like to see.”

According to Grybauskaitė, “Europe cannot be stagnant. Europe cannot say that everything is fine, that nothing can be changed”.
