President to invite Samsung to expand to Lithuania

“At a meeting with Samsung executives, I will present the latest information on Lithuania’s potential. We are indeed interested in Samsung expansion to Lithuania with its investments and services (…). Therefore, I will invite Samsung to choose Lithuania and expansion in Lithuania,” Grybauskaitė told the national radio LRT on Wednesday.

The president travelled to South Korea to attend the opening ceremony of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. Her visit will wrap up on Sunday.

South Korea is Lithuania’s second-largest trade partner in the Asian continent, with mutual trade growing by a factor of 5 over the past five years.
