Presidential adviser: Lithuania won from deputy ministers’ blacklist story

“In my opinion, everyone came out a winner, because transparency won. It is great that the Coalition decided to demand for more transparency from high-ranking politicians when selecting candidates to prominent positions. As negotiators say, it is a win-win situation. Of course, we have to wait and see what the conclusions and the new composition of the Government will be, I am talking about deputy ministers. There are no losers, Lithuania only won from this story,” Būdienė relayed the president’s opinion to the Žinių Radijas radio station.

As reported, the leader of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party, Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius has said that once the Government is approved after returning its mandate, all deputy ministers will be dismissed.
