Based on provisional assessments, in the third quarter of 2014, the average price of old apartments stood at LTL 4,031 (EUR 1,167) per square metre, i.e., 2.5 percent less compared with the second quarter, but 12 percent above the average price in 2013. In the third quarter of 2014, the average price of new apartments in Vilnius was LTL 5,087 (EUR 1,473) per square metre, i.e., 8.9 percent more than in early 2014 and 14.8 percent more than the 2013 average.
In the third quarter of 2014, the average price of old detached houses sold in Vilnius was LTL 3,556 (EUR 1,029) per square metre, 19.1 percent above the level in the third quarter of 2013. Meanwhile, the average price of new detached houses sold in Vilnius was LTL 2,547 (EUR 737), 11 percent more compared with the second quarter and 9.7 percent more than the average price in 2013.
