Prices continue to fall in December

According to Statistics Lithuania, annual inflation is also expected to be negative in December and stand at minus 0.1%. The average annual inflation will be minus 0.7% in December.

Falling prices of food products, non-alcoholic beverages, transport, apparel and footwear are expected to have the biggest influence on deflation in December. Meanwhile prices for utilities, water, electricity, gas and other fuels and services are expected to rise.
