Prof. Landsbergis receives France’s highest decoration

By President Francois Hollande’s decree, Landsbergis has been awarded the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor.

“The highest-degree French award marks Professor Vytautas Landsbergis’ special and historic merits in serving the Freedom and Europe, which regained Lithuania thanks to him,” Philippe Jeantaud, France’s ambassador to Lithuania, said in a comment sent to BNS by the embassy.
