Regulator suspends operations of Lithuania’s tour operator Ditmos Projektai

The license of Ditmos Projektai ir Ko has been suspended for a period from September 23 to October 6 so as to give time to the regulator to establish the company’s liabilities to customers.

Edita Gaigalienė, spokeswoman for the department, told BNS that the company had no customers stuck abroad.

Meanwhile Aidas Petrošius, spokesman for the Centre of Registers, told BNS that Ditmos Projektai ir Ko had never submitted any annual reports, in violation to existing legislation.

Ditmos Projektai organized mountain hiking trips, walking tours in Lithuania as well as trips abroad.

In April, the regulator suspended operations of tour operator Voyage-Voyage, which later filed for bankruptcy.

Last year, the department suspended operations of two tour operators, which also went bankrupt.
