Seimas asks Govt to work out university network optimization plan

Eugenijus Jovaiša, chairman of the Seimas Committee on Science and Education, said that the Seimas resolution demonstrated the political will and the state’s priority.

“This shows our political will and that we see it as a first priority for the state,” he said.

“The draft resolution was initiated by MOSTA after carrying out an analysis of the state of higher education. Jurgita Petrauskienė, the former head of MOSTA, is the education and science minister now. So, that would be a call on herself,” Liberal MP Gintaras Steponavičius noted.
