Seimas elections: Skvernelis wins MP seat in Vilnius

Skvernelis received 52.86 percent of votes, beating his challenger Kęstutis Masiulis of the conservative Homeland Union–Lithuanian Christian Democrats with 44.5 percent.

The Homeland Union won 20 seats in a single national multi-member constituency two weeks ago, just ahead of the Peasant and Green Union with 19 seats.

With over a half of votes counted in the run-off round, the Peasants and Greens were leading in more than 30 single-member constituencies and the conservatives in only nine constituencies.
