A law that had been in effect in Lithuania until 2014 that forbade sexual harassment has been returned as well.
The other amendments clarified or appended laws regarding discrimination by businesses when offering products or services, equal rights when being punished for contract violations. The law on requesting information about an applicant’s familial status during an interview was also clarified.
56 Seimas members voted for the amendments, 4 voted against, and 39 abstained.
