President Dalia Grybauskaitė is attending the inauguration, where she is to inspect the latest 3D laser printer, visit the laboratory that makes parts for one of the world’s most powerful lasers, the President’s Office told BNS.
The Sunrise Valley Centre for Technology and Innovation includes 23 companies working on development and application of high technologies. It also accommodates the laser centre, which is one of the biggest and attracts the most investments in Lithuania, as well as the country’s only nanoengineering laboratory.
According to the press release, the centre’s scientists create unique inventions and the most advanced technologies.
The Sunrise Valley Centre for Technology and Innovation is part of Lithuania’s largest research agency – the Centre for Physical Sciences and Technology, employing 38 habilitated doctors of sciences, 246 doctors of sciences, over 500 researchers and 60 postgraduate students. Over the years of operation, the centre completed more than 300 business orders and helped over 100 companies achieve their business objectives.
