Tomkus sells 80 pct stake in Lithuanian news agency ELTA

GM Media Invest, a company owned by ELTA CEO Gitana Markovičienė, on Wednesday purchased the stake from Tomkus and plans to buy the remaining 20 percent of shares in the near future, the agency said.

The deal was announced last July. Markovičienė, formerly one of the leaders of the Lithuanian Labour Party, was appointed as CEO of ELTA a month later.
