The survey revealed that 16.7 percent would vote for the conservative TS-LKD, compared to 16.6 percent in June. And 15 percent would back the LVŽS (14.9 percent in June).
The Order and Justice party came in third with 6.8 percent (6.2 percent in June), followed by the Labor Party with 6.1 percent (6.7 percent in June).
The rating of the opposition Liberal Movement remains one of the lowest as only 2.2 percent would vote for the party, compared to 2 percent in June, the survey showed.
“The Liberal Movement is at the very end. It was also in June. It still fails to cross the election threshold. The question is where the Liberal Movement’s voters have gone to?” Vilmorus director Vladas Gaidys said, commenting the results.
In his words, the TS-LKD might have lured the liberals’ voters.
The survey also showed that the Social Democratic Party of Lithuania, led by Gintautas Paluckas came in fifth in the survey with 5.1 percent in July, compared to 5.3 percent in June). They were followed by the Center Party with 4 percent (3.1 percent in June), and the Social Democratic Labor Party with 3.5 and 4.8 percent respectively.
The Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania – Christian Families Alliance would get 2.9 percent if general elections were held now, compared to 2.7 percent in June.
