If parliamentary elections were held soon, 17.6 percent of people in Lithuania would vote for the conservative HU-LCD, up from 16.8 percent in March. And the number of those who would vote for LFGU dropped from 16.2 to 11.9 percent.
„The gap between the TS-LKD and the “farmers” has widened”, Vilmorus director Vladas Gaidys told BNS Lithuania.
The Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP), which came in third in the March survey, was overtaken by the Order and Justice party, which would get 7.2 percent of votes, down from 9 percent in March.
Meanwhile, the Social Democrats’ 10.1 percent March rating was almost equally split in April by Gintautas Paluckas-led LSDP (4.9 percent) and the new Lithuanian Social Democratic Labor Party, led by Gediminas Kirkilas. The latter would get 5 percent of votes.
4.7 percent would vote for the Liberal Movement, down from 5.1 percent in March. The Center Party would receive 4 percent, up from 3.7 percent in March. And the Labor Party would be supported by 2.9 percent of voters, up from 1.9 percent in last month.
“The survey was carried out before the Labor Party‘s convention where Viktor Uspaskich was elected its chairman”, Gaidys stressed.
The Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania – Christian Families Alliance would get 2.7 percent of votes, compared to 2.5 percent in March.
