Flights between the Lithuanian capital and the Black Sea resort are operated two times a week, on Fridays and Sundays, until Sept. 13, the operator of Lithuania’s three major international airports said.
“Odessa is a Black Sea resort and a tourist destination famed for its architecture, culture, delicious food and beaches. We expect that the direct service from Vilnius will help Lithuanians to discover one more holiday destination,” Lietuvos Oro Uostai spokeswoman Indrė Baltrušaitienė said in a press release.
Ukraine International Airlines also operates flights from Vilnius to the Ukrainian capital of Kiev. The airline last year handled more than 75,500 passengers in Lithuania. Its passenger numbers have soared by 30 percent this year so far, compared with the same period last year.
