1,000 people will lie on the ground in the Cathedral Square and won’t move for one minute to reflect the average number of people who take their own lives in Lithuania every year.
The move is aimed at showing in person and not through statistical figures how many people in Lithuania decide to take their lives every year, Sakalauskas said in a statement.
Official figures show that 930 people killed themselves in Lithuania last year, down from 1,085 in 2013.
