The Traffic Safety Law amendment, put forward by MP Gintaras Tamošiūnas (Labour Party), proposes that drivers without two years of experience should not be allowed to drive category B cars with power to mass ratio above 0,06kW/kg.
According to Mr. Tamošiūnas, the amended law would affect only 2 percent of Lithuania‘s drivers.
The new rules should take effect on Jaunuary 1, 2017.
