“Based on the initial process, before the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania (LLRA) joined in, it was decided that the Labour Party will delegate its member to this position. We will discuss this at the coalition council. We should not rush however, as that is how mistakes are made,” Graužinienė told the journalists on Thursday.
Moreover, she has reservations regarding some politicians’ intentions to eliminate the Ministry of Energy and incorporate it into the Ministry of Economy. According to her, economic consequences have to be estimated first.
President Dalia Grybauskaitė approved the prime minister’s suggestion to dismiss Energy Minister Jaroslav Neverovič. Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius made the move after Neverovič violated his instructions and appointed Renata Cytacka of the LLRA as deputy energy minister.
The coalition council will meet on 25 August.
