Flu epidemic declared in 18 out of 60 Lithuanian municipalities

The 18 municipalities include the city of Kaunas and the district of Klaipėda.

The highest flu and acute upper respiratory tract infection (URI) incidence rates were registered in Kazlų Rūda and Visaginas, at 391.2 and 280.7 cases per 10,000 inhabitants, respectively.

Lithuania’s overall flu and URI incidence rate for Jan. 29 through Feb. 4 reached 179.6 per 10,000 inhabitants, up from 127.6 a year ago.
