The plans were discussed by Chief of Defence of Lithuania Major General Jonas Vytautas Žukas and his Latvian and Estonian counterparts Lieutenant General Raimonds Graube and Major General Riho Terras during their meeting at the Adazi Training Area in Latvia on 5-7 November, Lithuania’s Ministry of National Defence said.
The meeting also touched upon the ongoing trilateral projects, including the Baltic Naval Squadron (BALTRON) project and the BALTNET airspace surveillance and control system project. The chiefs of defense also observed the joint US-Latvian training exercise Atlantic Resolve.
Meetings of Baltic chiefs of defence are held twice a year. The next two meetings are scheduled to take place in Lithuania.
