The prime ministers, Algirdas Butkevičius of Lithuania, Laimdota Straujuma of Latvia and Taavi Roivas of Estonia, will address the situation in Ukraine, preparations for the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga and exchange opinions on the security situation in the region, the government’s press service said.
Other topics on the agenda will include joint energy and transport projects: synchronization of the Baltic energy markets with the continental European system, creation of the regional gas market and the course of the Rail Baltica project.
On Friday morning, Butkevičius and Roivas will have a face-to-face meeting for a brief discussion of economic, energy and security issues.
