Baltics to host Saber Strike 2015 military exercises

Troops from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia as well as Poland, Denmark, Finland, the United States, Germany, France, Portugal and Poland will simultaneously host the exercises in the Baltic states and Poland in June, organized by the United States Army Europe (USAREUR), Lithuania’s Ministry of National Defence said.

“The exercises will be a challenge for us as well a great opportunity to strengthen cooperation among both the Baltic states as well as multinational military cooperation. They will be aimed at improving interaction between NATO joint military units, action compatibility and readiness to perform defensive and offensive operations,” Major General Almantas Leika, commander of the Lithuanian Land Force said.
