Officials from Spanish basketball powerhouse Barcelona have confirmed that their famous guard will miss three months due to a foot injury and join Spaniards Ricky Rubio and José Manuel Calderón on the side lines.
The 35-year-old has claimed two EuroBasket titles; the most recent took place in Lithuania where he was named as the tournament MVP and guard in the All-tournament team.
While his International career also includes two appearances in Olympic finals as well as the 2006 World Championship he is most known for being the Euroleague’s highest scorer.

Spain has been placed in the controversially titled ‘Group of death’ this upcoming December against Turkey, Germany, Italy, Iceland and 2014 World Cup finalist Serbia.
The group will play off in Berlin, Germany ahead of the finals while Riga will see Group D sides Lithuania, Estonia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Belgium and host nation Latvia play off from September 5.
The top four sides from the four groups will go onto meet in the knockout stage in Lille, France.
