The building should be handed over to the Property Bank and sold.
Drafted by the Finance Ministry, a document about state-owned real estate up for renovation specifies that money received for the building on Antaviliu Street 27A could be used for construction of the department’s facilities on Pilaites Avenue in Vilnius and related structures.
“The State Security Department used to operate a training center there, and the center is being moved to new premises in Pilaite. The premises are no loner needed, therefore, a decision was taken to sell it,” Aurelija Katkuvienė, strategic communication chief at the State Security Department, told BNS Lithuania.
