“Leading an editorial office of such scale and high standard requires more energy and administrative work than could appear at first glance.
It takes away time from journalistic work, which is dear and important to me, thus I have decided to reorganise my professional priorities. I will continue to cooperate with the Delfi editorial office, it is the most wonderful and successful creation of my journalistic career. I worked here from day one and I am confident in this news portal, its dedicated people. New and different opportunities are opening up for me personally,” M. Garbačiauskaitė-Budrienė said.
“I am thankful for the trust granted me and also for the great challenge. We are a united team of professionals, which has been leading the market for years. I am certain that we will continue on this path, presenting readers and watchers even more valuable and interesting content,” R. Lukaitytė-Vnarauskienė said.
Delfi director Vytautas Benokraitis states that the changes will ensure the continuity of the editorial office’s work.
“Monika is a veteran and highly valued employee of Delfi, who has had a great influence on us becoming what we are. I wish her the best of luck in her new projects and am glad that she will continue to be a part of Delfi. At the same time I have no doubt that upon taking the steering wheel of the editorial office, Rasa will not only ensure the continuity of Delfi, but will also grant new creative impulses.
The editorial office raises itself the goal to not only provide objective and tested information, but also a platform of quality discussion for all topics of interest to the public. We also understand that our duty as a leading internet news portal is to create good initiatives, rally various public groups, encourage interesting and valuable discussions,” V. Benokraitis said.
Rasa Lukaitytė-Vnarauskienė has completed journalism bachelor and economics master studies at the Vilnius University. She has been working at Delfi since 2006. For several years she worked as a business news reporter, while for the past two years she has led the business news section and was also the deputy chief editor.
