The January poll by the Ukrainian public opinion research group Rating shows that 51 percent of Ukrainian residents in all of the country’s regions have a positive attitude towards Grybauskaitė, with only Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and German Chancellor Angela Merkel having higher ratings – of 63 and 58 percent respectively.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has the lowest rating. Only 10 percent of Ukrainian people have a positive attitude towards him while 80 percent have a negative one.
