“We feel that during these almost three years through numerous projects we have developed a very strong bond “Save the Children” and are constantly thinking how to do more for these very talented and bright children. It is not only a day of fun in a water park and a glimpse of summer in the middle of winter, but it is also something which these kids have never enjoyed before. We hope that this new experience will inspire them and fill them with good emotions for a long time. We believe that for children having fun together is very important, no less important than their studies, and we will definitely continue with such projects further on.” – said Ambassador of Israel Amir Maimon.
The director of “Save the Children” in Lithuania Rasa Didžpetrienė said: “Every new positive experience opens the whole new horizon to a child, and we should understand that children from smaller towns, of socially challenged families, have far less access to many activities than kids let’s say of Vilnius or Kaunas. For these children such trip is a long-time dream which will finally come true with the help of our friends the embassy of Israel. It is very moving.”
The Embassy of Israel appreciates the sincere help of the Israeli company TEVA Lietuva, which has supported this as well as many other Embassy’s initiatives and projects.
Since the establishment of the Embassy of Israel in Lithuania in January 2015, Ambassador Amir Maimon has been continuosly outlining the activities of the embassy with the focus on children as high priority. The Embassy of Israel has initiated and supported already a number of projects in different spheres of children and youth education, sports, social and health care in cooperation with the state authorities, academic and culture institutions, schools and NGOs.
