Estonia opens second honorary consulate in Lithuania

Estonian Honorary Consul is Žaneta Simanavičienė and her consular area is Kaunas, Marijampolė and Alytus County.

“In a way, the opening of the Honorary Consulate is restoration of Estonian representation in Kaunas, since the Estonian Embassy was located in Kaunas during the period between the world wars,” said Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus.

Honorary Consul of Estonia Simanavičienė was born in 1956 and spent her early childhood in Estonia. She is a professor and head of Business Management Institute in Kaunas University of Technology. Currently, she works closely with Tallinn University of Technology.
