Former Russian prisoner Nadiya Savchenko planning visit to Lithuania

Invited by Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius, Savchenko and her sister Vira will be participating in the Conference of World Lithuanian Youth on July 10. She will also meet with Lithuanian politicians and and visit Ukrainian soldiers who are being treated at Lithuanian hospitals.

During two weeks of work as a Ukrainian lawmaker, reports Ukraine Today, she visited the eastern Ukraine combat zone, refused her war veteran status, and spoke in favour of direct talks with Russian-backed separatist forces.
