Harbortouch is expanding in Lithuania

One of the global leaders in POS payment solutions is undergoing a vast expansion in Lithuania. Since opening its office in June 2017 in Lithuania, the US Company noticed that the decision proved to be right, therefore Harbortouch Payments Lithuania operating in the country is expanding its business, increasing the number of employees this year and is changing its name to Shift4 Payments Lithuania from today.

When opening its office in Lithuania, the company planned to occupy only two thirds of one floor. But today, the company has already tripled the amount of office space initially thought to be sufficient. The Lithuanian team are entrusted with the majority of programming tasks of the US Company.

According to the Managing Director of Shift4 Payments Lithuania, Tadas Vizgirda, the change of the name and expansion of the company in Lithuania show what our country’s labor force is capable of.

‘Today, the majority of software development for our US parent company is completed in Lithuania. The fact that the Lithuanian team over two years have contributed so much to the technical development of our companies within the Shift4 Group demonstrates the readiness of the company in Lithuania for further development. Without the huge potential and skills of Lithuanians, such development would not be possible. We also see that many other US-owned companies are extremely impressed by the Lithuanian technical labor force. It is most noticeable, when most of our colleagues visit our corporate headquarters in the USA during the first year of their employment’, stated Mr. Vizgirda.

Plans for expansion in Lithuania

According to the Head of the company in Lithuania, today the company has nearly 100 employees in our country. Growth of 50 percent, compared to 2018, is planned for this year. The company is currently looking for Android, Backend, Frontend, and Delphi Developers, along with Database Administrators and QA Engineers.

‘Rapid growth is observed not only in Lithuania, but in the USA as well – in the end of 2017, Harbortouch acquired five companies. These acquisitions resulted in the US parent company being renamed, and acknowledging the rapid pace of growth of the company in Lithuania, the Lithuanian company is being renamed as well – from now on we will be called Shift4 Payments Lithuania. Accordingly, employees in Lithuania currently work not only with Harbortouch but also with other companies within the Shift4 family – FuturePOS, POSitouch, and Restaurant Manager. We believe that with the group consistently expanding, our Lithuanian subsidiary will meet its needs perfectly and continue demonstrating their abilities’, said Mr. Vizgirda.
