In a competition on Tuesday, Kvietkauskas won against an unnamed candidate.
Kvietkauskas has headed the institution since 2012 after serving as a spokesman and adviser to Lithuania’s culture minister and heading the public establishment Vilnius the European Capital of Culture 2009.
The Lithuanian Film Centre is involved in the shaping and implementation of film policies, proposing legal acts and distributes support among selected film projects.
