Parliament speaker Loreta Graužinienė, who is visiting the country, has said that Lithuania and Ukraine have common, deep historical links that are very important at this time.
“The cooperation between various institutions and your support in Euro-integration issues is very important to us. And most importantly – support for the troops, for unprotected refugees. Joint educational and scientific and cultural projects are already being planned,” said the head of the Dnipro area Griroj Prygunov.
Lithuania is providing humanitarian assistance and has established two psychological support centres in the Dnipro area where wounded Ukrainian soldiers are treated, just a hundred kilometres away from the conflict zone.
Lithuanian Day next week will move to Odessa where a business forum will be held.
